Here, is the city border fight : there are those who decide who stay in and who are kicked out. There, is the protest movement of these workers arrived to be just human, and who are living in a slum all around the city. This documentary was shot on the 2nd of September 1977, in Istanbul and talks about the fight of the “1st of May slum” inhabitants, opposed to the army bulldozers and their orders to clear all the slum area. This uncommon document was shot by the Turkish director Isaac Isitan, 23 years old, with the “Cinéma du people” collective.

Biographie Né en Turquie, Isaac Isitan étudie le Droit à l'Université d'Istanbul avant de se lancer dans la production et la réalisation. En Turquie, il fonde le groupe Cinéma du Peuple et produit et réalise plusieurs films.
